Becoming A Child of God

The Bible says, “with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10). This means you declare, with your mouth, that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life. In that moment, something supernatural happens—your spirit is recreated.

2. Believe in Your Heart That God Raised Him From the Dead

“… believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead”. You must believe that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), because His resurrection is what gives you justification (Romans 4:25).

What Happens When You Become a Child of God?

The change is immediate and real.

• You receive eternal life (1 John 5:13)

• You received the gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17)

• You become a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17)

• Your past is wiped away (2 Corinthians 5:17)

• You now have access to God as your Father (Galatians 4:6)

As a child of God, you are no longer trying to reach God; you are now in a relationship with Him; you’re now a member of His household.
